Back to School...

I still cant believe that I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader. They are growing way to fast for my liking. But we are truly blesses to have such a wonderful neighborhood school that looks out for our kiddos. We are so blessed by all of the teachers.

Walker has Mrs Montes ( who Lauren had) and we couldn't be happier. She is so amazing and I know that Walker will have a fantastic year.

Lauren has Mrs Douthit (pronounced South-it). This is her 2nd yr at Bledsoe and so far Lauren absolutely loves her. She says she is super nice. I think once she gets to know Lauren she will realize that she has a major talker on her hands.

Getting Walker to look at the camera. Is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.But at least we have a smile on our face.

Its going to be a great school year with these 2 kiddos.

Dog and his bone..

I love this pic. Makes me smile. Charlie will not let go of his bone because he knows the minute he puts it done Daisy will get it. So there he sleeps with the bone in his mouth. Sweet old dog..

School Shopping gone bad....

This afternoon I had a little time to spare so I told Lauren we would do a little school shopping.  So off we went to find her some things.  First stop was Target and the minute we started looking her attitude began to rare its ugly head. After I made a suggestion to her about something . She stomped her feet and hit her hands on her legs. YES JUST LIKE A 3 YR OLD. I remained totally calm ( which is not my normal reaction) and put everything down . In a very firm voice I told her that we were leaving and if she spoke one word I would spank her in the middle of Target. The look on her face was a look of total shock.  She did open her mouth but nothing came out (smart girl). We left our basket and walked out of the store. Once we got in the car we had a long discussion about her attitude. I told her that she has to have a complete attitude adjustment or we will do NO school shopping.  Also that I will be picking her outfits the first week of school . GASP !!! She looked at me and said Mom, that's not fair. You will ruin my fashion. I said " you have the power to make sure I don't ruin your fashion".  

I was gone this evening to a PTA meeting. When I returned home she apologized for her behavior and said she would work on her attitude. We will have to see over the next few days if that is the case.  She is TERRIFIED that I am going to pick her outfits. I love it....

The cure.....

My boss seems to think he has the cure to fix anything.  His statement to most anything and everything you say is... " you know what cures that ??.. Getting on the phones.. Of course he is talking about either finding good candidates to fill jobs or finding new clients. If only things really could be cured by " getting on the phone". Then life would be a whole lot easier.  But it does make you stop and think about what a phone call could do for someone.  Take the time to pick up the phone to call a loved one, a friend , even someone you don't know all that well. You never know what they are dealing with in their life and may just need to hear a friendly voice.

Life

Sometimes things happen in you life and you cant figure out why. My parents always told me to never question God but to have faith in him. That he will get you thru all the ruff patches and never give you more then you can handle. Right now if I feel like my load is full and I cant handle anything else. I keep praying for a peace to come over me and to find the strength that I need to get me thru all of our struggles. For those of you that actually read this please pray for me to find peace and the strength within to get thru the all of our struggles.
