Going to the car wash

One of Walker's favorite thing to do is go thru the car wash. We went today and from the look on his face you can see his excitement. It's like a Disney ride to him. He could do it over and over again. Only if everyone was so easy to please.

Godzilla is taking over....

Walker has a HUGE fascination with Godzilla (thanks to Ken). He sleeps with all of these guys. He carries them all over the house. If I let him they would go everywhere with us. So when I walked into the family room the other day and was told, " Mommy you can't sit down because Godzilla is about to attack." It was no big shock at all. Thankfully there was no major destruction from the attack.

Crazy Lauren

Lauren would die if she knew that I am posting the pic. But it cracks me up. This is sooo typical of her taking pics of herself. This face of hers says so much.

Where is Daisy?

The other day I couldn't find Daisy. I knew she was in the house. But where was the question ? Even when I called her name she did not come out ( which is odd). I was in the kitchen and something caught my eye. When I turned there she was cozy and happy bundled up in our CLEAN clothes. So I took the picture and vacated her from your spot. I guess it's not safe to leave a laundry basket down on the floor.

Walker starts T-ball

Walker started T-ball today. Even though he calls it, 'Spaceball". He absolutely loved it. We were a little worried that he may change his mind once he got to practice. But so far so good. his favorite thing is getting to bat. It made me a little sad seeing him get all dressed in his baseball gear. My baby's growing up and seeing that he's our last I want to keep him little forever.
Daddy was out of town for his first practice but thanks to Mark Bundick for helping Walker out today. Daddy is excited about be able to take Walker-man to next week's practice.

Valentine's Parties

With the snow last week and the school cancellations. The kids Valentine's parties were rescheduled for this week. Walker had 2 parties since he goes to speech as well his pre-K school. Walker's teacher Mrs DeVore or has Walker calls her , ''My Mrs Devore". I think really that was his Valentine. He loves her so much. Just as much as she loves him.
I was able to make all 3 parties. The kids had a great time and I was happy to get to see them get all of their Valentine's.
Lauren and her desk buddy Leah Vaile. Of course she was none to pleased that Walker had 2 Valentine's parties. But as we told her she has been able to do many things her brother has not. She should be happy that he gets to have 2 parties. She was super excited to help him go thru all of his goodies.

All in all it was a great Valentine's day. Fun had by all.

Crazy Snow

This is Texas people. I have lived here most of my life and have NEVER seen this much snow. Actually the news says this is " Snowiest day ever in North Texas ". It started early this morning around 4 am and is expected to go until midnight. Tomorrow is going to be a nightmare if people try to get out. School is already canceled. Which is probably a good thing, even though by 10am I am sure I will wish that school is going on. The kids had a blast in the snow made snowmen, had snowball fights ( well Walker's fight was with Daisy not really fair but funny).
Lauren and Bella ( our neighbors daughter) worked really hard on their snowgirl. The eyes are made out of strawberries, nose carrot and mouth is yo-gort balls. Lauren even decided to put her very "high fashion" hand knitted scarf that Nana made on the snowgirl. They had a blast making her and worked very hard.

Nana and Granddaddy have been visiting us for a few days. The plan was to leave my house and head over to Jerry and Robin's house. Well on the way they found out that Ellie's play was canceled and with all of the bad weather they decided to high-tail it back to Houston. They didnt want to get stuck up here for a few days in all of the mess. They have their brains on one thing and that is the BIG move to Brehnam. BTW- Mom where is your coat ?????

All in all everyone had a great day. Daisy even loved getting out in the snow.

I love you...

I was reminded again this week that we never know when something could happen. A friend from high school lost her brother in a senseless accident. It was a reminder to me that we need to tell our husbands, kids, parents, brothers, sisters, and all of those we care about that we love them.

Daddy Daughther Dance

This is the 4th year that Lauren and Ken have gone to the Daddy Daughter Dance. It is something that they both look forward to all year. We were actually able to find a dress and agree on it when we went to the first store. Which is a huge shock since she thinks I have no fashion sense. When Ken got home from his trip I asked Lauren if she wanted to show Daddy her new outfit. She said nope I want it all to be a surprise. So sweet. So when she got dressed yesterday we had to do everything ( hair etc.. ) in her room. So that Daddy would not see her until she was completely ready. She decided that she wanted to curl her hair. Which is no easy challenge with her head of hair but we did and it turned out cute. Thanks to Emily W. and her curling iron. When Lauren she finally was ready and made her grand debut down the stairs. She had Daddy keep his eyes closed. When he opened them he was taken back by how grown up she looked and got a tear or two in his eye ( even though he says he's a man and that didn't happen). Whatever he cried looking at his little girl looking so big. Its hard to see her growing up.
Nana bought Lauren this very fancy coat last year. Other then church we dont have a whole lot of places to wear it. She was very excited that it was cold enough out to get to wear it. She calls it a " Princess Coat" because it twirls around. Thanks again Nana for the coat. We love it.

We had to get a family picture before they left. Getting Walker to participate was a challenge in itself but this was was good as we could get.
Lauren and Ansley have been friends since we moved here. They are great BFF's and love to do thing's together. The night would have not been complete without a picture with Ans. Also getting to do some moves in the dance floor with some friends.

All in all they had a fabulous night. One that they will remember for years to come.

Godzilla protects the popcorn....

Walker has a thing about Godzilla ( thanks to Ken ). He loves anything Godzilla, movies, the plush dolls etc.... When I asked Walker what Godzilla was doing next to the popcorn he says, " Mommy, Godzilla is protecting the popcorn from Daisy." She does try to eat anything and everything that is within her reach. He was determined that Godzilla would keep her at bay. Not so sure about that but if he feels that his popcorn is safer with Godzilla as his "Heavy", then go for Walker.
Please note that Godzilla is not keeping Lauren and her friend away from the popcorn. I guess you can't get everything you wish for.

Snow in Frisco

I am behind on some of my posts. Back in December we had a few snow days. For the " big snow fall" we were in Houston. Thankfully for the kids sakes we had another one a few days after we got home. Walker wanted to find anything and everything he could that was coated with ice and knock it off. He kept telling me that we needed to have an "ice storm". Mommy we need a , "giant ice storm". Really that's okay because around here we get a little bit of ice an FISD decides to shut school down for the day. Which of course the kids love but not the Mommy's so much.

80's are back

Lauren definitely has her own fashion sense. When she came in with a "side ponytail" I had to laugh because I can remember the when I wore by hair like that. When I told her that she just had this look on her face. Then turns and says, Mommy, " you don't know fashion like I do. " If you know Lauren at all you know that is one of her favorite things to say is that " she knows fashion". Gotta love an 8 yr old.
